Zilveren klontjestang, Duitsland, 1844 Titel:Default Title The head of the ringRobust silver sugar tongs in Biedermeier style made by an unknown German silversmith in 1844. The silver is not hallmarked but tested as at least 3rd grade silver 800 1000. The tongs feature a chased depiction, beautifully hammered out. The tongs are engraved with stippling: J. M. M. 9 Febr. 1844. At the top of the tongs, there is a small crack of approx. 6 mm; please see the photo for this. Weight: 32 grams. Length: 15 cm, width 5 cm.
