It typically goes by the name of just Rose Absolute (or oil) and the Bulgarian variety is the most common. However, it's lesser used cousin, Rosa Damascena from Morocco is a somewhat different beast, with a lovely tea rose quality that is lacking in the slightly lower cost Bulgarian absolute. The best Bulgarian roses tend to be used for the essential oil which is the most costly of the rose
